Editing photos 01USING: Adobe Photoshop CS3 This tutorial will help you beautify your photos, making them look more professional. I'm using this picture (you can find it in our fashion scans): ![]() Now first convert the mode to grayscale. (Image >> Mode >> Grayscale), do this to turn your image black and white. Don't use desaturate because the quality will go down. Now convert it back to RGB mode (Image >> Mode >> RGB Color), because you'll want to add colour later on. Make a new layer and fill it with #322241, set it to lighten and to 70% Make a new layer again and fill this one with #9a8fa4, set it to screen at 17% Yet another new layer, fill it with #a41d46, set it to lighten at 30% It should now look somewhat like this: ![]() Copy your background layer and put it on top. Set it to Soft light at 75% No go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Selective Colour Use these settings: Whites C : +1 M : +3 Y : +100 B : -32 Neutrals C : -14 M : -6 Y : -6 B : +27 Blacks C : +20 M : +12 Y : -9 B : -10 Feel free to play around with these settings.
